Bell Helicopter- Dynamatic Technologies Collaboration

Bell Helicopter, a part of Textron Inc of the USA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangalore-based Dynamatic Technologies under which the latter company will act as a sub-contractor for the Bell 407 airframe cabin assembly and manufacture of components. The estimated business volume of the work proposed is approximately $243 million over a ten-year period starting in 2013. Dynamatic has already qualified itself as an eco-system of sub-tier suppliers under the Bell Production System and has commenced trial production of airframe components and detailed parts. The MoU, which is an important milestone in India’s rise as an industrial partner to the global aerospace industry, will build upon Dynamatic’s existing relationships with Airbus, Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems (Europe) Ltd. and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. further strengthening its leadership position in the Indian aerospace industry. India represents a significant growth opportunity for both sales and manufacturing.
